Most of us eat with a running list of should and shouldn't. Eat this, not that.

Some people find that eating joyously matters more than eating perfectly. In yoga, the food on your plate is another life, becoming a part of us.

  • A meal you actually sit down to
  • A pause before the first bite
  • Somewhere to note how you feel after

Method

Next time you eat, set the should and shouldn't aside for a moment. Let the meal be a pleasure.

As you eat, stay with it, and picture this food becoming a part of you.

Give it a couple of weeks of meals, and notice which foods leave you light and full of energy, which leave you heavy, and whether eating itself feels more like a joy.
