The long light
In summer, the light doesn't leave all at once.
It lingers a long while after the sun has gone down. Some people find the slow fade at dusk settles something at the end of the day.
What does the last light do to your evening?
What you'll need
- A view of the sky where the sun sets
- A few minutes as the light goes
Method
Step outside as the sun starts to drop, and find the part of the sky where the colour is changing.
Stay with it a few minutes as the light shifts and fades. No need to do anything else.
Give it a stretch of summer evenings, and notice how the dusk leaves you, and whether it feels the same each time or it moves.
